2.1 Dashboard users (customers)
At registration: name, email address, password (hashed). During use: activity logs, preferences, billing data (managed by Stripe).
2.2 Website visitors (widget)
Data voluntarily provided via pre-chat form or chat: name, email, phone, message. Technical data: IP address (anonymized), user agent, pages visited, browser language.
3. Purposes
- Providing and improving the SetChat service
- Communication with customers (support, notifications)
- Billing and subscription management
- Security and abuse prevention
- Aggregated analytics (non-personal)
4. Legal Basis
Contract (service delivery), consent (widget pre-chat form), legitimate interest (security, service improvement).
5. Hosting and Transfers
Data is hosted in Europe (Render, Frankfurt, Germany). No transfers to third countries except where technically necessary (e.g. Stripe for payments, US-based with Standard Contractual Clauses).
6. Data Retention
Account data: duration of the contractual relationship + 1 year. Conversations: depending on the chosen plan (30 days to unlimited). Billing data: 10 years (legal requirement). Visitors may request deletion of their data at any time.
7. Cookies
The SetChat widget uses a functional cookie (visitor session identifier) to maintain conversation continuity. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
8. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, port and object to the processing of your data. Contact: support@setchat.co.
