WordPress: SetChat plugin + WooCommerce in one click

Practical guide to launch SetChat in minutes, then connect WooCommerce order tracking without manual key copy-paste.

1) Install the plugin

  1. In WordPress, open Plugins > Add New.
  2. Search for SetChat.
  3. Install and activate the official plugin.

2) Copy your SetChat API key

  1. Open your SetChat dashboard.
  2. Go to Settings > Embed or Sites.
  3. Copy the site-specific API key (recommended) or the global key.

3) Connect the key in WordPress

  1. In WordPress, open Settings > SetChat.
  2. Paste your API key and save.
  3. Confirm the widget appears on your website.

4) Enable WooCommerce in one click (new)

Yes, this is now possible: the plugin can create a read-only WooCommerce key, connect it to SetChat automatically, and validate the connection.

  1. In WordPress, open Settings > SetChat.
  2. In the WooCommerce block, click Connect WooCommerce in 1 click.
  3. The plugin configures order-tracking connectivity in SetChat for the site linked to your API key.
  4. In SetChat, open Settings > Commerce to confirm connected status.

Manual option (if you prefer)

One click is recommended, but manual setup is still supported:

  1. WordPress: WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > REST API.
  2. Create a key with Read permission.
  3. Copy Consumer key (ck_) and Consumer secret (cs_).
  4. Paste them into SetChat Settings > Commerce.

Quick checklist

  • The plugin is activated.
  • The API key matches the correct site.
  • WooCommerce is connected (1-click or manual) if you use order tracking.
  • The widget is visible in private browsing (no cache).
  • A test message appears in SetChat Conversations.
