WordPress: install the plugin and connect your API key

Ultra-short guide to get SetChat live on a WordPress site in minutes.

1) Install the plugin

  1. In WordPress, open Plugins > Add New.
  2. Search for SetChat.
  3. Install and activate the official plugin.

2) Copy your SetChat API key

  1. Open your SetChat dashboard.
  2. Go to Settings > Embed or Sites.
  3. Copy the site-specific API key (recommended) or the global key.

3) Connect the key in WordPress

  1. In WordPress, open Settings > SetChat.
  2. Paste your API key and save.
  3. Confirm the widget appears on your website.
